The largest national flag will soon be hoisted over the famous tourist destination as a sign of national pride.

The largest national flag in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir will be hoisted in Gulmarg, a leading tourist destination in the country. The height of the national flag will be 100 feet. Construction works are in progress. About 80 percent of the work has been completed and it is hoped that the work will be completed this month and will be inaugurated soon.

Colonel Ashutosh Thapiyal, commander of 15 Gadwal Gulmarg and Brigadier BS Fhogat, commander of Pir Panchal brigades are supervising the construction works. Work began in April for the project.

This national flag is hoisted in a place where tourists from all the mountains surrounding Gulmarg Gondola can see. The installation of the flag will also benefit tourism. This place will be a point of view for tourists. Tourists will come here to express their love for the flag.

Colonel Thapiyal told News 18 Urdu that it is the first time in Kashmir’s history that such a height, the national flag is hoisted, which will become the center of attention of the country. He added that the team is working to complete the work as soon as possible.
