GENERAL CITY OF TRIASS, Cavite: The General Trias City local government in Cavite canceled its regular flag ceremony on Monday July 4 and the inaugural session of the new city council today July 5 due to the growing number of Covid-19 cases in the city.

The city’s health bureau has recommended against holding mass publicity events and mass gatherings to mitigate the spread of the virus.

From 28 active cases of Covid-19 as of June 30, 2022, the city has recorded 56 active cases as of July 3, 2022. In total, General Trias has 19,718 confirmed cases since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The city’s health officer, Dr. Jonathan Luseco, also asks for everyone’s cooperation and respect for the minimum standard of public health.

Meanwhile, Resbakuna sa Barangay and the mobile vaccination program will continue to be carried out in each of the city’s 33 villages.
