On August 2, Prime Minister Modi changed his social media profile picture to “Tiranga” ahead of the country’s 75th Independence Day celebrations.

“It’s a special August 2nd today! As we mark Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, our nation is ready for #HarGharTiranga, a collective movement to celebrate our tricolor. I have changed the DP on my media pages social and I urge you all to do the same,” PM Modi tweeted today.

Besides the Prime Minister, Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP Chairman JP Nadda, Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal among other BJP leaders changed their photo profile on social networks.

Earlier on Sunday as he addressed the 91st edition of the monthly Mann Ki BaatPrime Minister Modi called on all citizens to turn the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign into a mass movement by hoisting or displaying the national flag in their homes and using the “tiranga” as a display image on their network accounts social between August 2 and the month of August. 15 to commemorate the 75th anniversary of India’s independence.

“Under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, from August 13 to 15, a special movement – ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ is organized. Let’s take this movement forward by raising the national flag at home,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi said. Sunday while addressing the monthly radio program “Mann Ki Baat”.

Prime Minister Modi also said that India is about to witness a glorious and historic moment as it completes 75 years of independence.

Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of independence and the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements.

This Mahotsav is dedicated to the people of India who have not only helped bring India this far in its evolutionary journey, but also hold within them the power and potential to enable Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to activate India 2.0, fueled by the spirit of Atmanirbhar Bharat.

Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’s official journey began on March 12, 2021, which began a 75-week countdown to our 75th anniversary of independence and will end after one year on August 15, 2023.
