Westchester County is partnering with LOFT (LGBTQ+ Community Center of Westchester) to launch Westchester Pride.

Westchester Pride’s mission this year is to provide a space for healing, connection and celebration. The event comes at a tumultuous time for the LGBTQ+ community, emerging from the long and painful COVID pandemic while facing the very real threat of losing court-appointed rights to the Supreme Court.

“Right now is a scary time for many in the community. From what we are hearing, people are deeply concerned about the loss of their right to marriage, reproductive health and protection from discrimination. This is a very troubling time for our community, which is why Westchester Pride is so important. Our hope is that we can use Pride as a place not only to celebrate, but also to get the message across that we need to come together to face the real possibility that our rights could be taken away,” says Judy Troilo, Executive Director of the LOFT LGBTQ+ Community Center, producer of Westchester Pride.

This year’s headliners include official Pride host, Olivia Lux of RuPaul’s Drag Race, a House and Ballroom event in partnership with Arts Westchester, “Ballroom: Beyond the Binary” featuring artists, Twiggy Pucci Garcon (of POSE fame) and Milan Garcon starring in HBO’s Legendary with other members of the house.

Broadway Sings For Pride will bring together a network of top Broadway performers who promise to wow and wow the crowd.
