Lucknow: The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) will launch its two-day ‘Tiranga Yatra’ across Uttar Pradesh from Tuesday to call on people to fly the national flag in their homes. BJP MPs, MPs and party workers would be part of the Tiranga yatra which is being withdrawn as part of the campaign.
UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has set a target of hoisting 4.50 crores of national flags in the state, BJP General Secretary Amar Pal Maurya has informed.
“As part of the tricolor campaign, the national flag should be hoisted on all residences, offices and government and private buildings and other establishments,” said the CM of Uttar Pradesh.

The Saffron Party has also set itself the goal of reaching five million Muslim households as part of the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign.

BJP leaders and workers will appeal to dargahs and madrasas to unfurl the tricolor.

Under the leadership of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the central government has launched a ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign to encourage citizens to hoist the national flag of India in their homes to instill a sense of patriotism in people’s hearts and remember the contribution of those who worked tirelessly in nation building.

The government has urged citizens to hoist Tiranga home during the period from August 13 to August 15, 2022.

The national flags were distributed to post offices, including branch post offices in remote villages, hence offered for sale to citizens to serve the purpose of the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also urged the people to strengthen the Har Ghar Tiranga movement.
